I'm not sure I'd want to live in this green bedroom forever, but I sure do like escaping there when I look at this painting--and that fancy bedskirt keeps making me imagine that bed is made of cake! This I believe was done as an art/interior design school exercise, probably mid 20th century of so, and I have to imagine the student got an A+, with even the view out the window attended to. I don't come across these very often, and even less often one so well done--but I do think they would be a good thing to collect, concise sorts of mini escaptes/retreats, cheaper than checking into a hotel!
20" x 15", gouache on board, very good condition. Looks like a little smearing/repainting to the floral pattern on chair, original to it. The painting has been protected for many years by a sheet of tissue adhered to the back and laying ofver the front--easily removed, but having kept this until know very bright and crisp.
