This miniature transferware chamber pot, equivalent in scale to staffordshire child's mugs, amused me, and I've not come across one before. With a little research I've found a few other examples, one very close to this one but bearing a different phrase, which makes me believe mid mid 19th century or so, and it may have been a fairgrounds prize or advertising giveaway. Pretty fun, and a rare one from what I can discern, which would be about the right size for delivering the cat an occasional bowl of milk (when mewing for attention first thing in the morning!)
3 7/8" across at handle, 3 1/4" diameter x 2 1/4" t. Transfer on white ware. One repaired chip to lip and a bit of glaze loss around the lip, all as documented.
