I found one of these old Pennsylvania folk art turtle footstools a year or so ago in shades of red and black and have kept an eye out since--the perfect present for a child or grandchild being groomed to appreciate American folk art! C. 1920s-30s, these were made in graduated sizes; this I believe is the second to largest variety, about 15 3/4" long. All original paint, a classic example, with a nice camouflage aspect to the light green and dark red spot painting over dark green body. Very sturdy and useful as a stool for many years to come, and very charming.
15 3/4" x 7 1/2" x 3 7/8" tall and in very good condition, bright and crisp, sturdy and sound.
