Sweet Little 19th C. White Goods Department Drawing with Linens and Booties

Regular price $15.00

The last phase on my basement clean up was going through piles of loose paper. Lots I put in sleeves for protection and stashed away for the flea market , but a few little things struck me anew and I felt compelled to list them. Like this little drawing, done long ago by a young girl as if assembling inventory for the linens department of her own department store, with a few other things thrown onto the page too (leaf and flowers and tiny little man at upper right.) I love the borders on those handkerchiefs, and especially those little booties. And love the upper case lettering (ENT not quite fitting on the same line as the rest of DEPARTMENT) and lace collar too.

6 3/4" x 4 7/8".  Some creases and crinkles to the paper put presses out flat. Graphite and red watercolor on tan lined paper.
