Another Maine find, and it seems likely that's where it originated, but it is unsigned and I don't know for sure. Late 19th or 20th century I would guess, and done on a thick wood panel, which has bowed just a little over the years, no matter, just adding a little to its nice sense of object hood. I really love how both intense and graceful the birds appear, with their fine black outlines setting them off against the seascape as if in their own world entirely. And just enough gray in the sky and darkness and choppiness to the water to make it feel nice and moody.
10 15/16" tall x 8 1/8" wide x 13/16" thick. A little paint loss dryness to the wood visible in the sky but overall very good condition, with a wire on the back for hanging. The first two photos were shot under different lighting conditions, as it varies a bit based on how lit.
