Stunning, Presumed Early, Hand-blown Small Spouted Glass Pitcher

Regular price $135.00

A small wonder! I purchased this from the same excellent dealer (a source of many treasures) from whom I purchased a gorgeous ancient Roman glass flask about a month ago (he seems to be doling out one piece at a time) and he, much more knowledgable that I, believed it to be a similarly early piece. However, I have not found another out there online with the same shape of spout as this one, so I can't say with 100% certainty--so I am pricing it in relation to its beauty and fineness rather than its pedigree. To my eye a very special feeling thing--the lightly encrusted glass a pale green with lots of tiny tiny air bubbles visible, the handle and spout (which has a very small, slit like opening) beautifully decorated, and the form of the vessel with a great pear-like shape, with a pontil visible on the bottom. Quite luminous.

3 1/4" t x 4 1/8" w x 2 1/2" d and in very good condition, with no chips or cracks that I can see.

*Please note, with things like this that I am not at all an expert on (as well as with everything!) if you are not completely happy, I will always happily accept returns and send you a pre-paid return shipping label.
