A few more pattern design drawings today by a 12 year old Burt Gemberling of Selinsgrove, Snyder County, PA in 1880--this and two others just listed, all executed in graphite on laid ledger paper. While it appears a straight edge was likely used to outline the star/flower below, everything else looks to have been done freehand, and you can very much feel the presence of his hand in every line. Lovely.
12 7/8" x 7 3/4". Graphite on laid, good condition, with a little toning around the edges of the paper and some scattered light smudges. Graphite strong and crisp. Blank reverse.
