Skulls, Bodies, Butterflies: Two Pages of Evocative Earlyish 20th Century School Work Ink Blot Exercises

Delighted to find these digging through a pile this week at a show in New Hampshire. Done as school exercises I believe, early 20th century, with very light (hard to detect) vertical folds in the paper that were used to yield the Rorschach-like ink blots. Wonderfully done, and so much I think to be found in them, from butterflies to rib cages to faces and figures--and more revealing themselves when one turns the page upside down! Two pages here, sold together, which I'd get in frames straight away and enjoy looking at forever. They feel just right for Halloween time, too. 

 Each page 11 3/4" x 9, sold as pair. Loss to the right lower edge of one page as evident, otherwise very good condition, with black ink nice and strong.
