Sixteen Stars, Graphite on Laid, Drawn by Burt Gemberling, 1880, Aged 12, Snyder County, PA

One of three pattern design drawings listed today executed in graphite on laid ledger paper by a 12 year old Burt Gemberling of Selinsgrove, Snyder County, PA in 1880.  Perfectly executed, beautiful thing, and looking at details you can very much see the presence of his hand in every line. I could stare at this all day, just lovely.

12 7/8" x 7 3/4". Graphite on laid, very good condition, with just a little toning around the edges of the paper.  Blank reverse.
