One of three pattern design drawings listed today executed in graphite on laid ledger paper by a 12 year old Burt Gemberling of Selinsgrove, Snyder County, PA in 1880. And this is the example in which one feels his own creativity most at work, figuring out how to fill each of those squared with quilt block-like patterns! Feels very Pennsylvania, and very charming, with all sorts of small moments of wonkiness that make it all the better.
12 7/8" x 7 3/4". Very good condition with just a little toning around the edges of the paper. Blank reverse.
