I haven’t been buying a lot of pottery of late, but always find myself doing so in spring, when one wants to be surrounded with as many cut flowers and sprigs of green as possible! This small vessel reads as much as a sculpture as an ikebana vase to me, quite satisfying with nothing at all in it, but also an excellent stage for all sorts of arrangements. With a wonderfully grainy, stony surface, and signed on the bottom with what I believe is a Japanese character or two.
4” t x 6 1/16” widest x 5” d the opposite direction at lip. Very good vintage condition, with maybe a very very tiny chip or two along the lip, but with the grainy texture of it really makes no difference.
