I like the backside of this about as much as I do the front, and also like it in its presumably unfinished state--a table mat I'd guess that never became quite round. I might just pin it straight to the wall from the top corners of the linen, feeling very much like a tactile painting to me.
17 1/4" x 14 7/8" and in very good condition, with a bit of staining to the linen and evident, which to me just adds to a sense of its age and aura. Late 19th c. I believe.
