These old American Red Cross First-Aid books are pretty great - and pretty handy!--to begin with, but all the better with a terrific brown paper dust jacket with big red cross drawn in crayon on the front! This is a 1940 copy (the second photo shows another uncovered copy listed separately) and features some pretty great photographs and diagrams, my favorite being how to tie all sorts of bandages, slings and tourniquets, including how best to make use of a necktie! Not a bad reference to keep near at hand.
256 pages; 7 7/8" x 5 1/4" x 1/2". Staple binding. Pages are glossy white, with a little rippling to the paper (maybe from moisture at some point). Good overall vintage condition.
