I never paid much attention to folk art watermelon--then I found this beautiful slice and realized its all about glorious color! Surface, too, here, with perfectly aged paint, showing a little more cracking on one side than the other. There's a pale green tint to the inner rind, and the red, with creamy white and black seeds dotting it, is just perfection. Pure yum.
11 1/8 x 3 11/16 x 1 1/8 and in very good condition, with a little paint loss to the green.
