Just a beautifully humble old slide top box, which looks to me as if pretty subtly grain painted, and which has a really great feel to it. Finger jointed corners, sliding lid with a carved divot for pulling, and I believe made of crate wood, with an old 69 stamped on its bottom. Large and low, perfect for holding a bunch of smallish drawings or love letters or whatever!
11 3/4” x 9” x 2 1/4” and in good condition, with a small loss to the very end of the slide at one corner and an old split in the bottom.
