Another little drawing from several I recently purchased together by a Charles Martin Jr., this one from 1927. I love little portraits, and think this is a pretty good one, and I have a feeling that this particular woman loomed large in our artist's psyche! Rendered in this pointillistic manner, I like to think she was a woman of mystery and complexity--forever elusive and endlessly compelling!
6 3/4" x 3 7/8, black ink on card, and in very good condition.
