I found this wonderful sculpture at the estate sale of an artist, though I do not know its maker. I love its clunkiness, and the creativity of the artist, who built the bodies of the two figures by welding together a mosh-mosh of nuts and bolts and other assorted iron bits. It is equally great from front or back, and perhaps especially the back! And I really love the long, extended arms of this man and woman as they reach out for one another, giving the piece a great sweetness and tenderness.
The sculpture measures 11 1/4" long, 7 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" deep and weighs about 5 pounds.
