Wonderful. Between those finials and that star and the old yellow paint, this is one of my favorite carved miniature chairs ever, found in Adams County, PA. And looks almost as if that star was made for stringing, with holes at the five points through which thread could be wound.(Looks like some old green paint or maybe waxed crayon drawing those lines instead.) The construction makes it look as if it might fold all the was flat, but it does not, it is just the back legs that fold.
4 3/4" x 3 3/16" x 3" d. Excellent condition, terrific aging to the yellow paint. Late 19th/early 20th c. I would guess.
