I made a bit of effort to translate the text here, but couldn't quite piece it together--what is clear is that expresses thanks to Our Lady of San Juan for answering the prayers of Pabla Rojas on May 11, 1924, and that it is a very lovely and tender one; look close, and you will see that the kneeling woman, with wonderfully beatific face, is holding in her very sweetly outlined hand a very sweetly detailed rosary with gold cross hanging. And what a charming tiny face on Our Lady, and on our kneeling man, too. All rendered in rich shades of orange, rust and gold, very painterly, and with a fantastic surface to it all. Love.
7 x 5 1/8 and in very good antique condition, perfectly aged. With an old string still attached for hanging.
