Quite a smart looking old tramp frame, deriving its specialness not from a volume of stacked layers but rather from the care taken with the individual bits, including nicely carved rounds at the corners and intensively textured (stippled) surfaces on the chip carved pieces. With its original backing, made to allow for the sliding in and out of glass, a picture, or a mirror, which is what it is holding now. The mirror is not original but everything else is, and is in terrific shape, early 20th c. I believe, and wired on the back for hanging.
10 1/4" t x 8 9/16" d and in very good condition, with no visible losses or issues whatsoever, sturdy and sound.
