My guess is that this was the ice fishing tackle box of a boy of 13 or so who was also very into baseball, giving the "g" at the end of "Fishing" a very baseball uniform logo-esque tail. The "ice" on the top, which makes me think of block ice and early Diary Queen and the like, is pretty fabulous too. I'm not sure if the third word on the lid is meant to read "gon'fishing" or is a last name, but either way this makes me purely happy. Plus three compartments inside and a carrying loop making it a useful box indeed.
8 1/8" x 5 1/4" x 3 5/8" t not including carrying loop. Good condition with a little paint loss and a little rust, as there should be. 1950s or so I would guess.
