A really fantastic large sheet iron cutout cat, which, though surely once it lived in a garden, I would hang on the wall straight away. The combination of the arched back and lightening bolt-esque tail (also looking a bit like a trail of smoke coming out of a chimney) makes it especially special I think, with a wonderful, and wonderfully graphic, interplay of positive and negative space. It’s definitely an old one, with plenty off rusting (one one side more than the other), all to the good.
17 1/4” t x 13 1/2” w and in great old condition. Rusting as evident but no rusting through at all.
