A nice old carved ball in cage whimsy with carved loop for hanging or just to dangle. Whether incurred in the process of carving or sometime since, there are glued repairs at a couple of corners and to the loop too, which suggest someone really cared about this whimsy! Personally they make me like it all the more.
6 1/2" t (not including dangling loop) x 2 1/4" w x 2 3/8" d. Nice old dry wood patina. Photos give no sense of scale but it is of substantial size.
