Old and New Hoovers, Old Black and White Snapshot

A portrait of the old Hoover and new "Hoover machines," as inscribed on the back of the photo, standing side by side as if conversation about the nature of hoover-ing and engaged in a passing of the torch! A fun one for sure, but also--at least for those who feel a certain empathy for objects--rather melancholic, too; what is to become of the old Hoover? A pretty great distillation of machine age values pointing ever-forward toward the latest model, while the Hoovers themselves feel almost like invaders amidst the Victorian interior.
