I purchased this (and one other I am keeping for myself) after a couple of rainy days shopping at Brimfield, where I was reluctant to by any paper for fear of it being destroyed, and thought how handy one of these would be to keep one of these in one's flea market bag. Earlyish 20th century and copper I believe, this one's in very good shape, with the lid sliding on and off smoothly but holding tight. And at 16 inches long, it's a good size for holding works on paper of a pretty decent scale.
16" l x 2 1/2" in diameter. Great patina, minor dings and a few white paint spots here and there (the paint seems like it could be scraped off if desired).
