Tabletop Neighbors: Pair of Folk Art Houses on Platform

Regular price $150.00

Two houses is better than one, I'd say, and all sorts of action one might play on out the street in front of the them, bordered in a most excellent orange paint. I like how the thin strips of wood drawing a line between one house and the other and then again on either far side seem to suggest that this neighborhood might extend ad infinitum in either direction--ah, the suburbs! The houses are similar to one another but not quite the same making one imagine a development full of slightly varied bungalows. Sweetly constructed, with terrific old alligatored paint, including brick red for the chimneys and again for the tops of the windows, with orange below suggesting the warm glows coming from within. 1920s-30s I believe and full of charm.

Overall: 16 3/8" x 9 1/8" x 4 5/8". Houses each about 5 1/2" wide. All in very good, very sturdy and very nicely aged condition.
