When I was growing up, my grandfather once gifted us grandchildren each a bag of walnuts, which we had no interest in until my aunt cracked one open to reveal that he had filled each one with a $5 bill, at which point we couldn't reach for the nutcrackers fast enough. This terrific vintage one, German or Danish I am not sure, would have made a great accompaniment to that great gift, or would make the perfect gift for a party host!
The nutcracker stands 8" tall, measures 7 3/4" from one end of the handle to the other, and 2 5/8"across at the base. Great vintage condition, with just a little dryness/light cracking to the wood.
