Mid Century Sun-like Folk Trivet

I realize now that popsicle stick and wooden bead trivets (and even bowls) were once a thing--but when I came across this I thought it was, completely on its own terms, a very beautiful and immensely satisfying construction! I am also certainly feeling a good deal of nostalgia for my 1970s childhood, and this feels like 60s-70s granola goodness incarnate in the best of ways. I might call it mid century modern tramp-and it feels like sunshine.

 9 3/4" d. Perfect amount of fading to the color on the beads from age and use. A little scalding to a few ends one one side attesting to use. Stable and sound and very sturdy.
