Mid-Century Japanese Count Down Blast Off Child's Mug

A charmer of a child's mug I'd say, giving 19th c. Staffordshire ones a run for their money! Made in Japan 1950s-60s, with a man in space suit on one side surrounded by stars, and earth viewed from space on the flip. Plus a rocket of a handle that doubles as a whistle--just blow into the top end of it. Blast off! Great graphics and really fun.

3 15/16" t x 2 7/8" in diameter x 4 3/16" across at handle. Good vintage condition, with a little glaze loss around the top of the whistle handle.
