I've had several of these c. 1940s-50s ribbed Zanesville pieces over time, both tall columnar vases and planters like this one, which I'll never pass one by as I think they're pretty hard to beat. The stoneware form itself is loaded with texture and irregularities, amplified and augmented by the drips and bubbles of the white slip. Earthy, modern, and super useful.
Approx 6 1/2" in diameter x 4 5/8" t. Plenty of imperfections native to the piece, including what looks a bit like a chip along the lip glazed over), but no actual flaws at all that I can see!
