I was thrilled to find a box filled with several old folk art ice fishing decoys yesterday in Maine, all made by the same person I believe, and this red and silver one with four tin fins my very favorite of all. I'm not an expert on these but I am great admirer of them as objects, and this one to my eye is as good as they come. Nails for eyes over tin disks, painted stripes on the fins, a tail fin that can be flipped up or back, and weighted on the underside. Really a beauty, all the better for its age.
8 1/8" long and in very good condition.
