Among my favorite finds ever! This old carved crocodile appears to me to have been carefully crayoned green, with black for his beady eyes and red for the inside of his giant mouth. His little feet were each carved separately then fit super snuggly into holes carved out in his sides, and his was given wonderful carved texture all down his back. To me, the complete essence of a friendly crocodile and just a marvelous thing.
9 5/8" l x 1 7/8" w x 15/16" t and in very good condition, with a good amount of age to him. There is a hairline split to the surface of the wood on his underside, no real matter. Perhaps he once had a tongue as there is a hole in the back of the interior of his mouth, but I'm not sure!
