The color on this is as lush as it gets, and to my eye it's really a gorgeous thing, very much a peach, but veering toward pure abstraction; naive and very sophisticated at the same time. 2nd half 19th c, on ruled paper with an embossed "Congress" mark at top corner, this I believe would have been done a school aged child, and the manner makes me think likely Pennsylvania.
9 3/4" x 7 5/8"". I found this watercolor cleanly split in two, and used transparent archival tape to repair it from the back side. Now, once framed, I don't think the seam will be detracting at all.
