I find it very hard to resist antique pin cushions like these--so much care, craft, and aesthetic interest invested in these special little things! I believe these two date to the late 19th century or very early 20th century, both with soft stuffing inside. The roll-shaped one I believe was hand-knit in purple and cream, with this great vine-like embroidery on top and blue ribbons cinching the ends. The quilt-like square one is solid yellow on the back, with the fantastic design on the face made by progressively overlapping what seem mostly to be silk ribbons/strips. Very lovely.
SOLD INDIVIDUALLY.
Square one measures 3 5/8" x 3 5/8" x 1 1/2" t. This one was definitely well used, with lots of pin holes, some fraying to the silks, and small scattered stains, but still holding together great.
Long one measures 6 3/4" l x 1 1/8" in diameter and is in good condition, with a some small scattered holes in the knit.
Price is per pin cushion. Please indicate at checkout which you would like, or add two to your cart for both.
