So many little things people once bothered to make beautiful, including so many sewing related things. This butterfly shaped needle book/needle keep is a perfect case in point I think, the hand-painted exterior made of a canvas type material which gives it a nice stiffness and weight, and then green felt body at center and green felt lining, with one little page inside for needles. I’d be inclined to lie it flat and pop it in a frame, or just pin it up, fluttering across the wall.
7" wide when open x 5 3/8" t; 5 3/8" x 3 5/8" closed. Good condition, with light wear and a bit of paint loss in a couple of spots to the painted exterior and one tiny loose bit at lower right corner.
