Lot of Fifteen Small Hand-painted Cardboard General Store Signs

A super sweet and cheerful set of hand-painted, scrap cardboard hardware store signs, c. 1940s or so, I believe. How much happier a trip to the store would be if there were tags like this hanging everywhere. Of a different era, when hardware stores felt like wonderlands.

Set of 15, each approx 5" x 2 9/16". With a nice array of backs to the cardboard too. Minor paint loss around the edges on a couple; overall very good condition with terrific color.
