Maybe in part because I spend a fair amount of time on backroads around New England, I find myself falling more and more for paintings like this--of familiar-looking houses nestled into their particular landscapes, seemingly infused with the special attachments of whoever painted them. In this case the location is Manchester, New Hampshire, and the maker an A.S Mangulian or similar, and I'd like to think the painting was done on wood from a fallen tree removed from these very banks, bark still on it! On the sides, in what appears to be marker, are joyfully drawn stars and faces and lines.
8 1/4" x 6 7/8" x 1 1/16" d. I believe the paint is acrylic. A few little dings here and there, overall very good condition and very sweet.
