Large Old Handmade Model Train Station with Lamposts

Regular price $65.00

I believe this was likely meant to represent a train station, and formed the hub of a model train set up. I found it along with three very sweet homemade railroad crossing signs  nd a cool watertower, both of which I'm listing separately. Aside from the two lamp posts bolted the metal base, this appears entirely scratchmade to me, and was wired to illuminate, with two red Christmas lights still inside, accessible when the roof is lifted off. I brushed off a lot of old yellow paint that had flaked off, and think it will likely continue to shed a bit when moved around, but to my eye it's really a sweet and great looking thing, with cutout windows at front and back and a front door that opens wide and (almost) latches closed.

14" wide x 10" deep x 9 1/2" tall. The roof takes a little effort to get back on properly after taking off, but does tightly over all four corners and sit flush without too much difficulty. Structurally in good condition, with one notable dent to the base at the back. If desired it looks to me that the wires still on the underside of the base could be clipped and the structure could be detached from the base.
