I love the dramatic moodiness of this old (1953) caricature drawing of a young man--or perhaps young woman?--presumably an emerging thespian from Maine. I'd guess it was done by a street artist at a fair or tourist destination, and can just picture the scene, with the sullen subject reluctantly sitting for the portrait, perhaps forced by a parent nearby who has informed the artist of their child's acting aspirations! Surely a great gift for your favorite dramatic Mainard!
16 3/4" tall x 12 1/2" x 5/8". The red painted wood frame is dinged in a few spots but the drawing appears to be in very good condition. Wired on the back for hanging.
