Jim and Tammy Faye Baker, Vintage Naive Graphite Drawing, Framed as Found

Regular price $30.00

It was fun to find this very naive portrait of Jim and Tammy Faye at Brimfield - a blast from the not so distant past, and I think both pretty perfectly captured here, between her very over the top eyelashes and his very shifty gaze. I must say that thinking about them now, they seem lesser evils in the grander scheme of schemers and scammers that have come since, though also like forerunners opening up what is now a much wider terrain of influencers and grifters. Icons of an era for sure.

10 1/8" x 8 1/8", framed as found. Just a cheap metallic frame--which seems pretty right--though for the long term preservation of the drawing, it would be a good idea to get it in a more archival situation. Toning/foxing as evident, and some horizontal striations visible on the paper, I think products of corrugated cardboard backing.
