Japanese Wrapping Cloth: Red and White Parasol Print

Regular price $18.00

One of my favorite things hanging on my own walls is a striking vintage Japanese furoshiki, or wrapping cloth, which I mounted in a simple white frame. This one, with its wonderful red and white striped pattern animated with geishas and parasols, is absolutely frame-worthy as well—or, of course, also great for wrapping a gift, as is its traditional purpose, while also being a gift in itself.  (Thinking of Mother Earth as we give gifts, how about loving our loved ones and the planet by buying vintage only and wrapping everything in cloth?!) Or wear it as a scarf!

Made of a crepe-type fabric, rayon I believe, it measure 27x27” and is in excellent condition.
