Ideal Primary Pegboard with Colorful Wooden Pegs

Though not designed by Froebel, these were most definitely influenced by his kindergarten “Gifts” and very much in line with them, produced by Ideal School Supply Co of Chicago as an educational toy, encouraging color and pattern recognition, counting, creative play, and as well as cultivating manual dexterity. To very pretty effect! 

1910s-20s I believe. Wooden peg board measures 5 13/16" x 5 7/8". The board shows some light surface splitting along the lines of the holes, the look of which I like. Pegs can take a bit of effort to get to stand up straight but will. More pegs included that one could ever need!
