Ideal Pottery Vase for a Big Bunch of Wildflowers!

Regular price $52.00

I'd guess this large hand-thrown vase dates to the 1960s or early 70s, and think it makes the absolute perfect one for a great arm load of wildflowers. It's got a great farmhouse feel combined with a mid-century sensibility, with lovely blue and brown painterly scalloped banding on the exterior and a nice finish with two bands on the interior of the rim. Really lovely.

The vase is in very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks; there is a bit of regulating to the brown glaze around the lip and some crazing to the cream glaze, visible in details, and which I think just reinforces its earthy feel. 8" tall x 8 1/2" across at widest; 6 1/2" across at base. Four pads, now well worn, were at some point added to the underside.
