One of two antique hand-painted postcards found together this week, both dating to 1905--this one mailed from Springfield, Mo to Rogers, Arkansas, one assumes not long in advance of its sender arriving, perhaps for Christmas! Drawings and cutouts of Dutch boys and girls were quite the rage in the early 20th century, but I think this is an especially good one in his red and green with polka dots all over, and an expression on his face that seems to say he's bound and determined to come soon!
5 1/2" x 3 1/4" and in good condition, with some black ink spattering around the letters that seems likely original to it.
