This seems to have been my week for finding heavily shot at things, this tea pot the most dramatic of all, and to my eye quite an amazing looking thing. With the bottom shot through as well as most every inch of its sides, surely it was thrown up like a balloon and shot at mid air, rather than just set somewhere as a target. In addition to all that is viscerally satisfying about it as a sculptural object now, it also makes me think a bit of Meret Oppenheim's fur lined tea cup, and could, without too much of a stretch I think, be looked at from a feminist perspective, as something of a retort to notions of keeping women in the kitchen (or nursery!)
10 5/8” in diameter measured at the base x 7 3/8” tall. Super sturdy and not shedding, and equally excellent all the way around.
