Harriet in Orange Blouse, Marvelous Antique Naive Drawing in Perfect Period Frame

Regular price $250.00

Oh, Harriet. A girl so very much after my own heart--I completely adore her, and feel like I know her, maybe that I AM her! This is one I would be very very happy to to keep for myself. I purchased her from a favorite Pennsylvania-based seller at Brimfield, a source of endless treasures, especially 19th century PA folk art--and who told me he too would miss her very much. Graphite and crayon/colored pencil on paper, mounted to pale pink paper, under glass in what I believe is her (wonderful and character-full) original frame, with a capital H naively carved into it along the lower edge (a bit hard to capture in photos, but it is there). Better in person, very full of life, with nice strong color--orange and blue and green (looks to me like watercolor for that green headband) --and just wonderful.

6 3/8" x 5 3/8" framed not including hanging loop. Sight: 4 1/2" x 3 1/2". All in very good condition, perfect patina, with hanging loop at top.
