I'm never one to pass by a charming hand puppet, and all the better to find a set of them! Here we have an elephant, cat, bird, and I'm not completely sure on the fourth one with the pink head, a pig? I think the painted painted faces are pretty fabulous, perhaps especially that blue elephant with long trunk and the long yellow beak of the bird. Their clothes are made of a sort of nylon, secured with ribbons toughly wrapped around their necks. Plenty of room to fit a hand inside, and room for a few fingers inside their opening to their heads. What a lot of puppet shows this gang should inspire!
They've seen some play, with some dings and a few cracks to the Papier Mache and a little soiling, but they remain in good condition overall. I found them perched on this wooden rack which makes for a pretty good way to display them, so will include it unless you prefer otherwise. Sold as the set of 4. Puppets approx 8 1/2" tall; heads 2 1/2" to 3" wide. Rack 13 1/2" long x 8" tall x 2" d.
