A curious thing, perhaps made for collecting autographs, or a a dance card for a very active dancer, or maybe just as a sculptura, crafty wallpaper sampler of sorts. Each leaf of the "tulip" is sewn of at least two layers of wallpaper, and can be flipped the opposite way like a fan to reveal the reverse side. I love it for all of the lovely old wallpaper samples, of course for all the labor that went into making it.
5 3/4" t x 5 3/4" wide when laid flat with two "pages" open. Very good condition. Earlyish 20th c. I believe. It will stand on its own when the "leaves" of the tulip and open as shown.
