A great head I think, hand-sculpted of plaster (solid), with a face that reads to me as open and curious, gentle and kind. I purchased a number of heads of various sorts this week, and have been enjoying arranging them together--and can say this guy is a good neighbor to all!
4” t x 3 3/4 w x 3 3/4” d. Mid 20th c. or so I believe. Good condition, with a small chip to left ear (a love bite I'd call it) and some scuffs and tiny dings here and there, just deepening his character. Stands stable and flush on flat base of neck. Unsigned.
