I know there are some serious Mickey Mouse collectors out there, which make folk art version of Mickeys pretty dear; I'm not so obsessed, but must say I think this is a pretty great one! His doorstop on the back makes him stand up straight, and then his long arm rotates 360 degrees, allowing him to wave high or low. Best is the alligator paint, most apparent on his green gloves but happening all over, and I especially love the bit of bleed around the edges of the black black paint, making his features feel pretty painterly.
10 1/8" tall x 5 1/2" wide with arm down; 8" wide with arm extended. 3 1/4" deep. There is an old repair to his tail, which is the other end of his moving arm--you can see the old split, but the repair has held and it is stable. C. 1930s I believe.
